This is High Maintenance Entertainment

“I was told my mind would limit me. Instead, it became my greatest teacher.”

Hi, I’m Madison Smith-Yates, the soul and founder behind High Maintenance Entertainment — a space born from healing, love, and community.

My journey has been anything but easy. I was diagnosed young, labeled, medicated, and told that my life would always be defined by mental illness. For years, I believed that story — until I realized I had the power to write a new one.

I spent the next 20 years learning, growing, and fighting to find balance. I studied mental health, self-care, and holistic healing — searching for peace in a world that often misunderstands people like me.

And then, at 22, I found what truly changed everything: cannabis.
It wasn’t about escape — it was about connection. Cannabis became a bridge between my mind and my spirit, helping me slow down, breathe, and rediscover myself. It gave me space to heal, to forgive, and to finally love the person I was becoming.

From that healing came purpose — to help others find what I had found: community, hope, and belonging.

That’s how High Maintenance Entertainment was born — not just as a business, but as a movement. A reminder that healing can be joyful, that connection is medicine, and that no one is ever too broken to begin again.

If you’ve ever felt unseen, misunderstood, or lost in your own story — this space was made for you.
You belong here. You are loved here. And together, we rise higher.

My Approach

Dream it

Every great change starts as a dream — a quiet whisper in the heart that says, “What if?”
At High Maintenance Entertainment, we believe dreams are the first step toward healing and transformation. What began as one woman’s journey to find peace has grown into a community of love, creativity, and growth.
We dream of a world where self-care isn’t selfish, where healing feels like celebration, and where everyone feels safe to be their authentic self.

Build it

Dreams become reality when we build them — brick by brick, breath by breath.
At High Maintenance Entertainment, we’re building more than a business; we’re building a movement. Every event, conversation, and shared moment adds to a foundation of love, unity, and purpose. Together, we’re creating safe spaces where healing feels natural, joy feels effortless, and connection feels like home.
